Aisha Nadar for over 30 years, Aisha Nadar has been actively involved in all phases of the negotiation and implementation of large-scale cross-border infrastructure and defense programs. Her procurement and international contract management experience includes holding senior-level positions in the US, the Middle East, and Europe. She regularly advises clients on strategic procurement planning, contract drafting, contract management, and dispute resolution and acts as arbitrator, mediator, and dispute board member and has experience with ICC, LCIA, SCC, DIAC, AAA, UNCITRAL, and FIDIC rules. Aisha has carried out assignments related to dispute resolution for organizations such as the World Bank, USAID, and US DoD. She is a regularly invited speaker at universities and specialized conferences on construction contracts and dispute resolution. Aisha is a member of FIDIC’s Executive Committee, the Chair of FIDIC’s Procurement Policy Sub-Committee, is listed on FIDIC President’s List of Accredited Adjudicators, and served as one of the principal drafters of the updates of the FIDIC 1999 Suite. She is an officer of the International Construction Projects Committee of the International Bar Association and has previously served as a member of the Standing Committee of the ICC International Centre for ADR. Aisha holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska, an MBA from the University of Texas-Austin, and an LL.M. in International Commercial Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary, University of London, and completed the CIArb Diploma Course in International Commercial Arbitration, Oxford in 2005.
  Ann Russo is the Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation, the non-profit association dedicated to the use of Dispute Review Boards worldwide. She is co-editor of the Dispute Board Manual: A Guide to Best Practices and Procedures. Prior to joining the DRBF, she served as Public Relations Manager for J.A. Jones, Inc., an international construction and engineering firm based in Charlotte, NC, USA. She received the DRBF's President’s Distinguished Service Award in 2005.
Anthony Edwards has over 40 years experience as a construction and engineering professional, specialising in dispute resolution. Anthony initially qualified as a civil engineering Quantity Surveyor, then as a Barrister-at-Law, Chartered Arbitrator, Adjudicator, Mediator, Dispute Board acting as either chairman, party appointed member or sole Adjudicator, Arbitrator or DAB. Anthony’s international practice at 39 Essex Chambers, London, includes acting as counsel and tribunal. Anthony holds the following panel appointments and memberships as Arbitrator, Adjudicator, DAB and Mediator: CIArb, IChemE, FIDIC, HKIAC, SHIAC, IDRC, TecBar, CEDR, TeCSA, Bar Council, LCIA, LMAA, MCIOB and ACE.
  Daniel Cherono is a civil engineer and dispute resolution expert. He is currently the Director of road maintenance at the Kenya National Highways Authority. He has served in public service for more than 18 years. During this period, has successfully overseen the planning, designing, construction, and maintenance of several roads and highways projects in Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and a Master of Laws degree in Construction Law, Arbitration, and Adjudication He is Registered as Consulting Engineer (CE) by the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (FIEK) and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
  Don Rahukwa is a construction claims practitioner.  He has a Master of Laws Degree from Exeter University UK and a Master of Laws Degree in Public Procurement Law and Policy from the University of  Nottingham UK. He has over 22 years of experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction claims, 14 years of which were spent as a claims defense specialist in the Office of the Attorney General of Botswana.  Mr. Ruhukwa has acted as instructing Counsel on major Infrastructure projects including   Roads, airports, stadia, and building works.  Mr. Ruhukwa is a member of the Botswana Institute of Arbitrators, the Association of Arbitrators of Southern Africa, and an additional member of the Construction Adjudication Association of Southern Africa (CAASA).  
  Frank Mvula is a citizen of Zambia who currently employed as Director of Fiduciary (Procurement and Financial Management) Services and Inspection since October 2018, has over 20 years of wealth of experience in Procurement, Water and Sanitation, Infrastructure Development, and Project Management. He is currently responsible for the development and implementation of Fiduciary policies. He served as Country Manager for African Development Bank in Malawi, from 2017 – 2018. In this role, he led policy dialogue with the Malawian government and other development partners. From 2014 – 2017 he was the Division Manager for the Procurement Division, supervising a team of over fifty Procurement Professionals across the continent. He led the fiduciary oversight of the Bank Group’s portfolio and provided advisory services to Senior Management on policy, strategy, and a broad range of procurement issues relating to the Bank’s operations across sectors. From 2009 to 2013, he worked as the Chief Regional Procurement Coordinator, in East and Southern Africa spearheading procurement reforms. He joined the Africa Development Bank in 2003 as a Senior Architect/Implementation Specialist in the Human and Social Development Department. Prior to joining the African Development Bank, Mr. Mvula worked at the Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company as Director, Commercial Services in 2003, as Projects Manager/Senior Engineer between 1998 and 2003, and as a Graduate Engineer between 1995 and 1996. He also worked as a Lecturer/Staff Development Fellow at the University of Zambia from 1996 – 1998. Mr. Mvula holds a Master’s Degree in Sanitary Engineering from the IHE Delft, Institute for Water Education, The Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Zambia, Lusaka.
  Giorgiana Tecuci is an international lawyer with over 20 years of experience in construction law and procurement. She is actively involved in FIDIC contracts, particularly emphasizing dispute resolution in both the public and private sectors. As an adjudicator, arbitrator, and trainer, Giorgiana regularly contributes to the organization and running of both FIDIC-related activities and those of DRBF, where she is a President-elect for Region 2.
Henry Mbele Musonda, FCIArb, is a Civil/Structural Engineer an Arbitrator, Adjudicator and Mediator. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), and the listed on the FIDIC and DRBF Presidents’ lists of Adjudicators. He has more than 35 years of practical and professional experience in the design, administration and project management of building and civil works and service contracts and providing advisory support on infrastructure projects to FIDIC and various forms of contract. He has international experience as an Arbitrator and Adjudicator and has strong knowledge and background of Application of alternative dispute resolution methods and Dispute Boards to infrastructure projects. He is a FIDIC listed trainer and has conducted training in Tanzania, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. 
 

Ibrahim Kitoo is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Certified Secretary (CS), a Governance, Ethics, Risk & Compliance Expert, a Commissioner for Oaths, a Notary Public, a Certified Public Private Partnerships Infrastructure (CP3P - APMG Certified) and Projects Management Professional (PMP) Practitioner of more than fifteen (15) years hands-on legal corporate exposure spanning projects structuring and financing, development financing, complex negotiations, structured trade finance, projects development, litigation, and arbitration. He has a keen interest and experience in legal advisory, complex contracts drafting and management, company secretarial support and corporate governance, legal and regulatory compliance, public procurement law and practice, public private partnerships, arbitration and disputes resolution, litigation management, and dispute resolution. He is a fellow of the Australian Awards Public Private Infrastructure Partnerships and the Oxford Renewable Energy Programme. He is currently engaged as the Chief Legal Officer, Projects & Disputes Resolution with the Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC. He holds a Masters Degree in Law (specializing in public finance and financial services law) all from the University of Nairobi; Master Certificate in Sustainable Infrastructure Development and Financing from York University, Canada; Executive Course in International Investment Law & Arbitration at the Queen Mary University of London; FIDIC Training Programme/FIDIC Summer School 2021 delivered under the auspices of King’s College London, Centre of Construction Law & Disputes Resolution; Advanced Investment Arbitration Programunder the auspice of the World Bank’s International Centre of Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), Georgetown University Law Center and the International Law Institute – African Centre for Legal Excellence Contract Management: Building Relationships in Business offered by The University of Southampton in conjunction with the International Association for Contract & Commercial Management (IACCM), UK; and The Oxford Said Business School Leading Strategic Projects Programme, among others. He is an active member of the Law Society of Kenya, Institute of Certified Secretaries, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Member & Board of Director - Kenya Branch), Institute of Directors, and Kenya Institute of Management. He is the Law Society of Kenya Legal Excellence Awards Public Sector Lawyer Winner of the Year 2022.
  Ismail Essa has 40 years of experience in the Construction Industry. Ismail  started work in 1980 as a Trainee engineer at Savage and Lovemore (Tvl.) PTY LTD. IN 1984 was appointed a Site Agent, appointed a Contracts manager in 1993, and a Contracts Director in 1995. Savage and Lovemore were merged into the Roads division of Group 5 in 1995. Left in 2001 to join SANRAL as a Senior Project Manager.  Project managed the Bakwena Toll Highway(N1/N4) at that time. In 2004 appointed as the Regional Manager of the Northern region until 2017. From 2007 to 2012 oversaw the rollout of the GFIP. Appointed as the SANRAL Head of Transformation in 2017 and continue to manage this to date. He is a SAICE Associate Member Since 1984.
  Jeremy Glover is a partner at Fenwick Elliott LLP, the UK’s largest construction law firm, and is listed as a leader in his field in Who’s Who Legal: Construction 2020. An accredited adjudicator and member of the CIArb Adjudication Sub-Committee, he advises on all aspects of projects from initial procurement and strategic project advice to dispute avoidance and resolution. Jeremy is the co-author of Understanding the FIDIC Red and Yellow Book: A Clause by Clause Commentary, the third edition of which was published in 2018, and lead editor of Building Contract Disputes: Practice and Precedents. Jeremy is a member of the Board of Examiners on the Construction Law MSc programme at King’s College and also teaches on the MSc Building Information Modelling Management Programme at Middlesex University. He serves as the DRBF President-elect for the Executive Board.
  Joseph Schwartzman has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of H Young & Co (EA) LTD in Nairobi, Kenya since 1984. In this role, he has served as Project Director for a variety of projects in the power, roads, and ports sectors. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Polytechnic Institute Galati, Romania, is a registered Engineer in Kenya and Israel, and is a member of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya. 
  Lady Justice Jacqueline Kamau is a Judge of the High Court of Kenya

appointed in 2012. Prior to joining the Bench, she practiced law in Kenya having been admitted to the Kenyan bar in 1993 and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya. She worked with a number of Law Firms as an Associate Advocate, then later with Madison Insurance Company as a Legal Officer before opening her law firm. Jackie is a qualified Chartered Arbitrator registered with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, in Kenya and London. She is a certified tutor with the Institute. She has attended several local and international conferences on Alternative Dispute Resolution. She lectures various professional organizations on ADR and is a trainer with the Kenya Judiciary Training Institute. A distinguished academic, she holds a Master of Arts Degree in Sociology, a Bachelor of Laws Degree (First Class Honors), and a Bachelor of Social and Legal Sciences, from the Universities of Nairobi and Poona respectively. She is a Panel Conciliator with the International Centre for Settlement and Investment Disputes (ICSID) nominated by the World Bank. She sits on the Integrated Court Management Systems and Security Committees of the judiciary in Kenya.
 

Dr. Kariuki Muigua holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in law from the University of Nairobi attained in 2011 where he wrote a Thesis titled “Resolving Environmental Conflicts in Kenya through Mediation” at the University of Nairobi on 02/12/2011 focusing on the areas of Public Participation, Mediation, and Environmental Democracy. He is a distinguished law scholar, Environmental Consultant, accredited mediator, and Chartered arbitrator. He has widespread training and experience in both international and national commercial arbitration and mediation.  He served as the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Regional Trustee for Africa from 2019 to 2022. He became the first winner of the Inaugural CIArb (Kenya Branch) ADR Lifetime Achievement Award 2021. He was also the winner of the ADR Practitioner of the Year Award 2021 given by the Nairobi LSK and the ADR Publisher of the Year 2021 awarded by CIArb Kenya. He was the winner of the African Arbitrator of the Year 2022 award at the 3rd African Arbitration Awards held in Kigali Rwanda beating other competitors from Egypt, Mauritius, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Kenya. The African Arbitrator of the Year award is the highest and most prestigious ADR and Arbitration Award in Africa. Chambers and Partners Global Guide 2023 has ranked Dr. Kariuki Muigua Ph.D. in Band 1 of Dispute Resolution (Arbitrators) noting that he is “highly recommended as a leading lawyer”. He was awarded for his distinguished service to the Law Society of Kenya at the Law Society of Kenya Annual Awards 2023. Leo Grutters, BSc (civil) MBA DipArb FCIArb FDBF, is a Civil Engineer and a Dispute Resolution Expert with over 30 years of professional experience. He holds an MBA and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. As a Member of FIDIC's President's List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators, he has been involved as an independent neutral expert in many large prestigious international engineering projects involving such wide-ranging sectors as roads, power generation & distribution, off-shore, marine, renewable energies, etc. He is a forensic analyst focused on the logical and fair resolution of contractual disputes. Due to his extensive participation in international contractual dispute resolution procedures such as Adjudication, Dispute Boards, and Arbitration, he is a project-focused expert who understands the interaction between complex engineering methodologies and the unavoidable legal and commercial implications when seen in a contractual environment. He also regularly lectures on dispute resolution methodologies, proactive contract administration systems & procedures and he is a regular speaker at related international events. He routinely conducts training and coaching events on the entire FIDIC Rainbow Suite of Contracts, as well as other construction management-related topics. Dr. Maurice Okeyo is a holder of a Bachelor's degree in Geomatics & Surveying Engineering, a Master of Project Planning and Management (MPPM), a Master of Business Engineering (MBE), and a Ph.D. in Project Management with a specialization in Monitoring and Evaluation of infrastructure projects. Dr. Okeyo has experience spanning 22 years in construction project management in Africa, the Middle East, and South East Asia as a Contracts Engineer, Delay & Quantum Analyst, and Construction Claims & Dispute Resolution Expert. He has worked on a arrange of projects including Geothermal Power Projects, Hydropower Projects, Water Transmission & Distribution Projects, Seaports & Airports Projects, Highways & Buildings Projects. Dr. Okeyo is a Certified Trainer and Consultant in Construction Contracts Administration and an expert in Construction Dispute Resolution. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a full member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Kenya Association of Project Managers (KAPM), and a founding member of the International Society of Project Monitoring and Evaluation (IProMES). Dr. Okeyo has co-authored several articles in research journals in the area of construction management; He is currently the Head of Projects Monitoring and Evaluation at the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen)

 Misheck Daka has over 40 years of experience in the field of Highway and Civil/Structural Engineering and Project Management and Contract administration. Major thrust areas cover the construction and project management of both highway and urban/mining infrastructure.  His highway engineering projects include the design and supervision of roadworks including scheduling, quality control and approval of materials and works, estimation of quantities and costs; preparation of bills of quantities and technical specifications.  His structural/civil engineering experience includes major office blocks, workshops; high and low-rise buildings for mining and residential use. He has also been involved with various projects both in Zambia and Swaziland. Mr. Daka holds a Degree in Civil Engineering from the University Of Zambia, a Master of Science Degree in Construction Management from the Loughborough University of Technology in the United Kingdom, and a Master of Laws Degree in Construction Law, Adjudication, and Arbitration from Robert Gordon University in Scotland. Mr. Daka is also credited with participation in the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot hosted by Vienna. The Moots supreme goal is to foster the study of International Commercial Law and Arbitration for the resolution of international disputes through its application to a concrete problem of a Client and train leaders in methods of alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Daka is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK.
 
Paul Karekezi is the Executive Chairman of GIBB Africa Limited. He has over 40 years of experience in infrastructure development (traditional contracting and PPP).  In addition, Eng. Karekezi is a director of the International Public-Private Partnerships Institute (IPPPI), which provides training on PPP, contract administration &; management as well as ADR. He is a CP 3 P® Approved Trainer by APMG International. He has provided training on PPP to more than 200 civil servants from various PPP Nodes in the East Africa region. Eng. Karekezi is a practicing adjudicator, arbitrator, and accredited mediator. He is DRBF's Region 2 Director representing Africa. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an Accredited Mediator by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Registered Consulting Engineer by the Engineer’s Registration Board (Kenya), a Chartered Engineer (Engineering Council, UK) and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK). He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering, a Global MBA, and an LLM in Construction Law, Arbitration, and Adjudication. Mr. Karekezi is a FIDIC Certified Adjudicator and is on the FIDIC President’s List of Approved Adjudicators.
 
Paul Taggart is a Past President of the DRBF Executive Board of Directors. He has some 40 years of experience in contract management and disputes settlement in construction. He is a FIDIC Presidents List of Approved Adjudicators member. Paul has acted as DB member, a disputes settlement manager, a Contractual Manager, and as advisor for a number of reputable major international companies effectively managing complex contract cases on a broad range major infrastructure and building works. In this regard he has been actively involved in the submission and successful settlement of some US$ 4.7 billion worth of disputes to Dispute Adjudication and Recommendation Boards globally per FIDIC, ad hoc and ICC DB rules. His project experience includes Mosul Dam (Iraq), Second Bosphoros Bridge (Turkey), The Channel Tunnel (UK - France), The Panama Canal expansion, Copenhagen, Qatar and Riyadh Metros, Xiaolangdi MPD China, and Bujagali HPP the first PPP hydro project in Africa. Mr. Taggart holds a BSc, MRICS, FCIArb, and Post Graduate Diplomas in International Commercial Arbitration (QMUL) and Business Administration (SGBS). He is a sustaining member of the DRBF.
 
Dr. Rosemary Kinanu Gituma FCPA, MBA, BCOM (Hons), FCPA, AMP, Ph.D. in Humanities - Honorary; Ph.D. Student – Ongoing Atlantic International University (AIU) USA, Professional Mediator Founder & Chairperson – FRUITSS Leadership Africa. Dr. FCPA Rosemary Gituma endeavors to deliver on her mandate to serve and lead with integrity. Sanjeev Miglani is an Indian Citizen with a permanent resident certificate for Botswana. He passed Indian School Certificate Examination in 1969; equivalent to the British ‘A’ Levels, Secondary School Leaving examination. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering with a First Division and obtained in Distinction in 1974. Obtained Associate membership of the Institution of British Engineers (UK) in 1982, followed by a Fellowship in 1998. In 2010 Sanjeev obtained a certificate in arbitration from the Association of Arbitrators RSA, followed by the completion of Modules 3 & 4 from the Association of Arbitrators, RSA in November 2011 and 2012. He obtained a Fellowship from the Association of Arbitrators, RSA, in March 2013 and a Fellowship from Botswana Institute of Arbitrators, in April 2013.

 Sean Gibbs is CEO of the global expert company Hanscomb Intercontinental. Sean’s primary expertise is quantum and as well as acting as an international expert witness also sits as an arbitrator, adjudicator, expert determiner, and dispute board member. He has held directorships and senior commercial positions with contracting and consultancy firms in the United Kingdom and Internationally. With over 30 years of experience in the onshore and offshore construction and engineering industries across the globe, Sean has worked across the continents of Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. Project experience includes major airport developments, industrial process plants, commercial developments, military and police installations, heavy engineering in respect of onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities and pipelines, highway interchanges, tunnels, leisure resorts, nuclear, water treatment, and desalination plants, waste to energy, biomass, onshore and offshore wind farms, renewables, mines, ports, hospitals, and rail/metro projects. He is Junior Vice Chair of The Adjudication Society, Council Member of the Society of Construction Law (UK), ICP Member of The International Bar Association, Region 2 Director of The Dispute Resolution Board Foundation, and founder of UK Adjudicators and HK Adjudicators.  
 
Simon Fegen is based near Bath, United Kingdom, and specialises in the dispute avoidance and dispute resolution arena in the construction industry. He is a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa), and a CEDR Accredited Mediator. His professional experience spans over 30 years and a variety of projects, including energy, water treatment plants and pipelines, highways, OPRC, and airport terminal buildings, in various locations in Africa, Asia, and Europe. Simon is a strong proponent of dispute avoidance through sound contract administration and supports the use of Dispute Boards; he currently serves on 2 standing dispute boards in Africa. Simon is involved with various training programmes on dispute avoidance and contract administration; and is currently the Director of Training for the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) Region 2.
 
Suzanne Rattray is a senior engineer with more than 35 years of professional experience. She has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from McGill University in Canada, specializing in structural engineering. She has had lead responsibilities on numerous infrastructure projects, in the transportation, building, and energy sectors, in Zambia, Tanzania, Mozambique, DR Congo, Chad, and Israel. She has been practising as an Adjudicator and Arbitrator since 2008 and was admitted as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2012, qualifying for Fellow Status in 2017.
 
Taner Dedezade is an international construction barrister and ICC arbitrator, practicing at Corbett & Co, with some 25 years of experience, specializing in the resolution and avoidance of disputes arising out of international construction and engineering projects, particularly under the FIDIC forms. Taner is a FIDIC-certified Adjudicator on the FIDIC President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators. Taner is also a FIDIC-certified trainer, FIDIC trainer of the Year 2020, and Visiting FIDIC lecturer on the King’s MSc in Construction law and arbitration. Taner was invited by FIDIC to train all Members of the FIDIC President’s List; and FIDIC Accredited Trainers.
 
Tengo Rubadiri is an experienced Attorney and Arbitrator with over 33 years of total experience in the legal field. He specializes in civil and commercial matters, both litigated and un-litigated, and has particular expertise in Employment, Construction, Commercial, and Contract law. Tengo is admitted to practice in all the Courts of the Republic of Botswana, and International Arbitration Tribunals. He is a member in good standing of the Botswana Law Society and is an Executive Committee Member of the Botswana Institute of Arbitrators, and is a former Chairperson of the Institute. Tengo's career highlights include serving as an Acting Judge of the Industrial Court of Botswana for a cumulative period of 5 years and acting as an arbitrator in numerous civil and labor disputes. He has participated at various labor law conferences in South Africa to stay updated on regional and international labor jurisprudence. Tengo has also served on numerous Dispute Adjudication Boards (DAB) and currently chairs several Dispute Adjudication Boards and Arbitrations on government projects. In terms of education, Tengo graduated with an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from the University of Botswana in 1990. He has obtained several relevant qualifications, including FIDIC Accredited Course on FIDIC Claims, a course on legal procedures to resolve Constructional Disputes and various dispute resolution workshops. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Botswana Institute of Arbitrators, the Association of Arbitrators of South Africa, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators CIARB. He is a member of the AFSA International Arbitration Court.

Yasemin Çetinel is an attorney at law specialized in international investment and commercial arbitration, with a specific focus on settlement of construction disputes. She has been involved in numerous ICSID arbitrations, including representation of Turkish contractors against the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Georgia, the Republic of Yemen (current mandate), and the Republic of Turkmenistan (current mandate). She has represented contractors of various nationalities against state entities and private entities of states including the Republic of Yemen, Romania and the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Azerbaijan (current mandate), in the settlement of commercial arbitration disputes. She is the founding partner of Cetinel Law Firm, in Istanbul, Turkey, currently advising Turkish contractors on the disputes arising out of the unrest in Libya, besides representing clients in several dispute settlement proceedings. She has an extensive experience in the execution of FIDIC-based contracts concluded with Turkish state entities as well as with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Iran. Her fields of expertise also include providing consultancy to and representation of international companies at public tenders in the Republic of Turkey. Yasemin serves as the DRBF Representative for Turkey and is the Director and President of the DRBF Region 2 Board.
